Every so often, we like to give you a look behind the scenes on the Recruitics Blog. With that in mind, we thought our blog would be the perfect place to spread awareness about the latest fundraiser we’re supporting across the company.
On September 23, 2017, our team will be joining St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital’s Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer in Manhattan.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a truly amazing organization. Starting in 1962, the non-profit organization has made it their mission to seek a cure for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases--at no cost to the families affected.
While you can read more about St. Jude and all of the great work they do here, one of the most impressive accomplishments to note is how they’ve helped increase their survival rate for childhood cancer from 20 to 80 percent since their founding!
We chose to fundraise for the Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer for a number of reasons.
First and foremost, cancer is a disease that has touched all of our lives--whether directly or indirectly. Therefore, supporting cancer research and treatment in whatever way we can is something that is important to everyone on the Recruitics team.
Secondly, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. In that spirit, joining this cause was really a no-brainer.
One of the most important things we can do to support St. Jude and their mission, is to help spread awareness about childhood cancer. Here are some important facts to keep in mind:

There are a number of amazing childhood cancer research and treatment non-profits out there that we would encourage you to learn about and support. However, if you want to start making a difference today, there are a couple of ways you can get started.
The easiest way to show your support, is by getting involved with the Recruitics fundraiser. Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 for the Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer on Sep. 23. You can make a donation here.
If you’d like to get even more involved with our fundraising efforts, you can join our team here! Joining our team allows you to create a personal fundraising page, including a personal goal, giving you a unique page to share with friends and family.
Of course, you don’t need to work with Recruitics to donate or raise funds for the Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer. While we’re a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, you can start your own team or begin fundraising on your own, directly through St. Jude.
