This year marked the second annual Global Talent Acquisition Day, a celebration honoring all the hard-working talent acquisition professionals around the world. Recruiters, sourcers, hiring managers, employer brand specialists, recruitment marketers, and all-around TA experts came together on Wednesday, September 4th to celebrate their profession and promote their recruitment teams.
At Recruitics, we’re thrilled to build upon the day of recognition started by KRT Marketing (acquired by Recruitics) and continue on as a co-founder with the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP)!
For year two, we took the #GlobalTADay assets to the next level. We created our very own Global TA Day branded giphy channel with unique #GlobalTADay gifs. Additionally, our very own Recruitics teammate, Michelle Sargent, co-hosted a webinar with Phenom People and ATAP called “Talent Acquisition Trends that Rock” to celebrate Global Talent Acquisition Day. Talent acquisition teams truly embraced the global emphasis in #GlobalTADay in 2019. It was so exciting to see companies across the world participate and to see collaborative internal celebrations from each continent. We loved how Intel’s recruitment teams took to social media to share their various events in India, China, Japan, Poland, the UK, and the US. They even created their own branded hashtag— #GlobalTADayatIntel—check it out!

It was bigger and better than ever, with many in-person networking events. CareerXroads hosted 7 in-person parties with notable organizations, such as The Walt Disney Company, McDonalds, Intuit, and Teradata, to name a few. Local recruitment organizations hosted happy hours and luncheons for their members. DFW Texas Recruiters Network had a record-setting attendance with over 250 members participating at their celebration, and several companies also organized large internal festivities for their recruitment teams!
